Steamer Wharf, Queenstown

The Challenge:

Designing, carrying out compliance and building consent then managing the fit-out of the best Irish pub in the country from an existing empty shell, while seamlessly integrating a new façade over Oamaru stone that reflects both authenticity and craftsmanship to over 45m of shop front.  We did it!

The Solution:

By implementing a meticulous design, compliance and fit-out process that balances traditional Irish pub aesthetics with modern construction techniques, ensuring the interior layout maximises the available space while the new façade blends seamlessly with its surroundings. By carefully selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures, and coordinating every detail from concept to completion, we achieve a high-quality result that feels both timeless and inviting. Leaving us to do it all really was a benefit

The Result:

The finished Irish pub is a beautifully world class crafted Irish pub that combines authentic charm with modern functionality. The integration of the new façade enhances the exterior, while the thoughtfully designed interior maximises space and delivers a warm, inviting atmosphere. Every detail, from the materials and finishes to the overall execution, reflects a high standard of design, quality and craftsmanship. Careful curation and procurement of every element, from the high-quality finishes to the memorabilia—including 'Boris the Badger' —ensures a space that feels cohesive, timeless, and full of personality
