Of course it does. Who doesn't want to be able to hear the guy talking across the table or the gentleman on the phone next to your desk or the conversation going on in the room next door? There is a science to acoustic treatments in workplaces and social environments, and over the past decade I have come to learn about the many different solutions to these challenges. I have created everything from recording studios, radio studios, a picture theatre, open plan offices, restaurants, cafes and bars. Each one of those need different acoustic solutions for their own purpose. These have been ceiling, wall, floor and environmental treatments as well. Today I have been looking at some kind of floating ceiling for a cafe and looking at Autex, who is a provider of acoustic treatments I discovered their new frontier product which not only sucks in the reverberation of sound but also looks pretty cool. Check it out and if you want to pick my brains on any issue you may have with sound, get in contact and I am more than happy to give you a few pointers.
